LEAVE:
Annual Leave
Full time employees earn paid vacation at the rate of 2 weeks per year for the first three years of employment (accrued at the rate of 3.33 hours per pay period); 3 weeks per year beginning with the fourth year (accrued at the rate of 5 hours per pay period); and 4 weeks per year beginning with the ninth year (accrued at the rate of 6.66 hours per pay period).
Sick Leave
Full time employees earn paid sick leave at the rate of 2 weeks per year (accrued at the rate of 3.33 hours per pay period).
Bereavement Leave
Employees are provided 3 days of leave in the event of death of an immediate family member.
Military Leave
If called to active duty or fulfilling reserve obligation, employees receive their regular pay less the amount received from the Military Service. Military Service pay stub to be provided to MKI prior to payment.
TUITION ASSISTANCE:
MKI will reimburse full time employees up to $2,000 per year towards approved courses and books.
INSURANCE:
All Insurance coverage is effective on the employee's date of employment. There is no waiting period.
Medical and Dental Insurance
MKI provides paid medical and dental insurance coverage for all full time employees. If the employee elects to have family coverage, a portion of the cost is borne by the employee and paid for through payroll deduction.
Life Insurance
MKI provides paid Group Life Insurance for all full time employees. The amount of coverage provided is twice basic annual earnings (maximum $150,000). Benefits reduce to 65% at age 65 and 45% at age 70.
Long Term Disability Insurance
MKI provides paid Long Term Disability Insurance for all full time employees. After 90 days disability, eligible employees receive 60% of their basic monthly earnings (not to exceed $5,000), less any other income benefits.
401K/PROFIT SHARING PLAN:
All full time employees are eligible to participate in the 401K program after 3 months employment. MKI matches a minimum of 50% of 6% of your total salary. Since 2004, MKI has matched 100% of all contributions. After 3 years, employees are fully vested.
