SR. ACQUISITION PROGRAM ANALYST


Location : Stafford, VA Clearance : Secret
Education Required : Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Management or Business.

Years of Relevant Experience : The position requires 10 or more years experience within Joint Services environment providing research, collecting, compiling, analyzing and reporting information and data to serve as a basis for: Preparing operating plans, performance tracking, policy formulation and program development; and 10 or more years experience managing and coordinating the processes, operations and program planning and evaluation aspects of a specific program function or an entire program to ensure compliance with appropriate program regulations and to effectively utilize resources and Budgeting experience in converting program objectives into statements of projects, activities and related costs, and controlling, evaluating and/or monitoring financial and program performance through periodic comparison of planned objectives and actual performance.

Required Skills :
  • DoD, Army and Marine Corps acquisition processes, i.e., 5000 series, AR 70 series, AR 700 series, and Marine Corps Systems Acquisition booklet.
  • Good knowledge of the JPEO/Army/Marne Corps SAMP, CCA, IA, interoperability, processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of WBS development (MIL HDBK 881), risk management (Risk Mgmt Guide for Acquisition), and configuration management.
  • Proficient in use Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Project Manager, and PowerPoint.
  • Work well with other members of a group
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing


Responsibilities : Develop, monitor, analyze and update project plans and schedule activities, milestones, integration points, and dependencies. Provides recommendations and support to Program Team Leader and Program Team Members for program management processes in the areas of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and communication on program tasks. Identifies and escalates scope conflicts and overlaps between tasks. Reviews project for major issues, risks, integrations and project documents and deliverables for naming conventions, staffing, and version control. Generates status reports to monitor program health. Prepares program informational and status briefing slides. Tracks, escalates and reports on program issues and action items. Prepares meeting agenda, records and publishes minutes and follows through on the implementation. Schedules and coordinates workshops, meetings and facilities. Provides supplemental support in the area of ILS.
