General Scope: The PM EPS is responsible for the acquisition and life cycle management of multiple power generation and advanced power programs, and is also chartered with exploring alternative power sources technology for all power generation systems and equipment employed to support worldwide Marine Corps ground and aviation combat and combat support operations. PM EPS is comprised of two project teams; the Advanced Power Team (APT), and the Mobile Power Team (MPT), and includes the management and sustainment of over 20,000 other pieces of electric power equipment and rapid support to emerging needs from sustained military operations. MKI Systems continues to provide Program Management, Acquisition Logistics, Engineering Support, and Technical Documentation Services support for PM EPS. |
Specific Support Elements:
- Program and Acquisition Analysis - Conduct Market Research, assess technologies, conduct tradeoffs, develop cost models/estimates, and conduct risk assessments to assist in the selection of viable procurement, production, and fielding decisions for the respective programs. Assist in developing the acquisition strategies, including the logistics and program support that is required for the development, update, and evaluation of Integrated Logistics Assessments (ILA) and other key program document preparation (e.g., cataloging actions, Fielding Plans, Supportability Plans, Field User's Evaluations, and MC-SAMPs) for PM EPS programs.
- Support Product & Facilitation Services - Provide daily administrative support inclusive of meeting coordination, agendas, read-ahead material, spreadsheets, charts, CDs, presentations, posters, and meeting minutes.
